VISIT US

Welcome

Monte is a vibrant community that offers places to girls from a variety of primary schools. We do not require applicants to sit an examination or College interview before being offered a place.

We encourage families to attend our annual Open Day or book a term tour to see what Monte has to offer. All aspects of the College — academic, pastoral, spiritual and extra-curricular programs — are showcased on the day, with displays, demonstrations and activities taking place throughout.

Registration is essential.

Acceptance/Wait Listing

On receipt of your application with required documentation, and if a place is available in your daughter’s year of entry, you will be offered a place on the confirmed class list.

An acceptance fee of $500 will be required to secure her place. This fee is non-refundable.

Applications are accepted from non-Catholics. Their names will remain on the Waiting List until we start the final enrolment process two years out from Year 7. It will be at this time that a position may become available.

As per our Enrolment Policy, priority on the Waiting List is given to daughters of Alumni and siblings of current, past and future students with a confirmed place.

Confirmation of Enrolment
Confirmation of enrolment is needed two years before expected commencement date. At this time the Confirmation of Enrolment Fee (currently $2200) is required to be paid to confirm a student’s place at Monte. This fee is non-refundable.

Upon receipt, if there are confirmed places remaining in her year of entry, an offer of a confirmed place will be made. If not, her name will remain on the wait list, but with the original date of application.

The family reference can be from a parish priest, a family friend or long-standing colleague. There is no specific content that must be included in a reference. Typically referees say how they know the family, how long they have known them and comment on the family values. If appropriate, they can make comment about the parents’ participation in their local parish and their commitment to providing their children with a Catholic education.

No offers are made to the wait list until applicants are in early Year 5 (two years out from entry into Year 7).

Places are offered to waitlisted students in the following order:

1.  Daughters of Alumni

2.  Siblings

3.  Baptised Catholic girls attending a Catholic primary school

4.  Baptised Catholic girls attending a non-Catholic primary school

5.  Non-Catholic girls
