Masalou Lunch 2018

Masalou Lunch

It was our pleasure to warmly welcome more than 190 esteemed Alumni back to Monte for the annual Masalou Lunch. This special occasion is a celebration of Alumni who graduated from the College fifty plus years ago.

His Excellency Xanana Gusmao

Feto forte, nasaun forte

Strong women, strong nation

In a hand of significant solidarity, international friendship and dialogue, the College was honoured to welcome His Excellency Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao, first elected President and Prime Minister of Timor-Leste (2002-2014). His Excellency spoke passionately to students and staff about opportunity, responsibility and adversity; urging us to keep fighting for justice and equality across the world.

2018 Co-curricular Highlights

Monte offers an engaging and diverse Co-curricular program, which supports each student on their individual journey to success and wellbeing. Please enjoy this video, which highlights just a few of the fantastic opportunities Monte girls experienced in 2018.

2018 Mercy Day

Mercy Day is a significant day of thanksgiving and celebration of our Mercy tradition and faith. We honour our foundress Catherine McAuley, a pioneering women of-her-time who advocated for justice and human dignity. Catherine’s teachings remind us that “it is impossible to love our neighbour without exhibiting it by acts… as our charity must be in our hearts and of our hearts.”

Monte Women, Leading the Future

Monte women are educated to be leaders of our future; values-based leaders. Our “Monte Women Leading the Future” video series features inspiring Monte Alumni giving a personal account of their career journey and what a Mercy education meant to them.
