Higher Education and Careers

Beyond Monte

The shift from high school to higher education and the workforce is a crucial step for young women. The Higher Education and Careers Office at the College aims to empower and support our students in making informed decisions about their future with confidence.

The Higher Education and Careers Advisor regularly communicates with senior students about post-school education opportunities, both in Australia and overseas, as well as offering individual assistance with occupation and industry choices. A range of resources are available to students in Years 10, 11 and 12.

Opportunities for students from Year 7 to Year 12 include information inspiration events and industry outreach and immersion experiences. Senior School students further develop their understanding of themselves and future work prospects through dedicated activities, such as careers profiling, work experience, and a Showcase Portfolio Interview Program to develop critical thinking, communication and presentation skills.

Year 11 students attend a timetabled, fortnightly Higher Education and Careers session to hear from educational institutions, Alumni, industry professionals and other careers experts. All senior students may make individual appointments with the Higher Education and Careers Advisor, and Year 12 students receive particular assistance with applications for higher education courses, scholarships, special admissions programs and international opportunities.
