— the highly anticipated Sesquicentenary Gala Concert of Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College.
Held in the grand surrounds of Sydney Town Hall, this landmark event will be a breathtaking celebration
of 150 years of Monte spirit, brought to life through an unforgettable evening of music, community and legacy.
Through a powerful program that traces light, spirit and song across generations,
Luminous will showcase the extraordinary talents of Monte students and alumni
in a tribute to our past, present and future.
A Night to Remember
We are honoured to welcome acclaimed Monte alumna Simone Young AM,
Chief Conductor of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and 2024 International Conductor of the Year
as our Guest Conductor. The concert will feature:
- Year 7 Class of 2025
- Wind Ensemble and Concert Band
- Middle and Senior School Choirs
- College Orchestra
- Guitar Ensemble
- Stage Band
- ‘The Madeleines’ A Capella
- Special guest Monte Alumni performers, including soloist Molly Ryan (Class of 2019)
- World premieres of two commissioned works
by leading Australian composers Ella Macens and James Madsen
Please note: Performing Monte students do not require a ticket.
All other guests must be seated by 6:20pm to avoid a lockout period.
