from Monte

The College’s position in the heart of North Sydney sees Monte located in a transport hub. Students can travel to Monte via the various services offered by Transport NSW.

Access to buses, ferries and train lines ensures travel to the College remains convenient for students and families.

A wide range of options

The College is readily accessible via a large network of both Public bus routes and School Special bus services provided by Transport NSW. Bus stops for many of these services are located in close proximity to the College entrances.

In addition, bus interchanges at Neutral Bay and North Sydney allow for easy access to bus routes that cater for areas of Greater Sydney.

North Sydney Station is located a short five-minute walk from the College. Students have convenient access to the North Shore and Western Line services and Northern Line services connecting to various areas of Greater Sydney.

In 2024, Victoria Cross Station will be available to students providing new Metro rail access to North Sydney. This new station will be located beneath Miller Street, between McLaren Street and south of Berry Street. This provides an even shorter distance for students to access Metro services that connect Monte to Greater Sydney, including direct access to the Hills District and South Western Sydney.

Several ferry services running to and from McMahon’s Point Wharf and Milson’s Point Wharf from various points along Sydney Harbour are accessible to students. Students can simply frequent train and/or bus services from these areas to North Sydney.

Opal Card Information

The School Opal card gives eligible school students free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school on trains, buses, ferries and light rail in the Opal network. To apply for an Opal card, please see the Opal website for details.
