Mrs Nicole Christensen
Mrs Christensen brings to the role of College Principal a variety of educational leadership and teaching experiences with over twenty-five years working in independent Catholic girls’ schools. Mrs Christensen has completed both a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education from the Australian Catholic University. She has contributed and continues to contribute to a number of external education Committees and Working Parties, including Chairing the Principals of International Baccalaureate Schools in the ACT/NSW and is the Principals’ Representative on the Catholic Girls’ Secondary Schools Sporting Association.
Mrs Christensen is a highly sought-after speaker and contributor to both national and international forums and conferences.
Mrs Christensen is an outstanding Catholic educator who truly embodies the values of Catholic education in the Mercy tradition. She has a proven commitment to academic excellence as illustrated over many years at Monte and previous career endeavours.
Mrs Christensen is a role model with energy, capacity and the resilience to motivate and inspire the young women at the College. She is a fierce advocate for women’s rights and is deeply passionate about ensuring girls’ equitable access to education.
Mrs Christensen excels in her understanding and leading of educational policy at both State and National levels, has a firm grasp of the International Baccalaureate programme and processes, and will ensure Monte remains at the head of the educational curve.
Mrs Christensen’s pastoral strength, personal attributes and passion for the College are impressive, and when combined with her vision for educational strategy and leadership, ensure Monte students reach their full potential.

Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College is under the canonical sponsorship and civil ownership of Mercy Partners. The ministry was entrusted to Mercy Partners by the Sisters of Mercy, North Sydney on the 7 November 2023.
The Mercy Partners ministerial PJP assumes the role of the canonical sponsor of Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College. The civil relationship is that Mercy Partners Limited is the sole Member of the organisation that operates the Ministry. The day-to-day operations of Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College remains under the governance of their board.
Mercy Partners commits to ensure that their ministries flourish as Catholic ministries that contribute to the emergence of a world where the healing, liberating and life-giving mercy of God is experienced.
