Mrs Nicole Christensen
Mrs Nicole Christensen is a distinguished educational leader with extensive experience in independent Catholic girls’ education. She has provided longstanding leadership as Principal of Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College, where she is entrusted with the overall direction, governance, and advancement of the College in the Mercy tradition.
As Principal, Mrs Christensen holds responsibility for the strategic and operational direction of the College. Her leadership is widely recognised, particularly in her expertise and vision for both the Higher School Certificate and the International Baccalaureate programmes, in Australia and internationally.
Mrs Christensen contributes to the advancement of education beyond Monte through her service on a range of professional committees and associations. She plays an influential role in shaping educational policy and practice and is engaged in research concerning adolescent girls’ health, learning, and development.
Her commitment to social justice is expressed through her work with the Human Rights Commission and the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, as well as through international partnerships in Timor-Leste and Peru. She is also a mentor to future women leaders through the Mercy Global Fellowship program.
At Monte, Mrs Christensen’s strategic vision, and dedication to the mission of Mercy education ensure the College remains a place of excellence where young women are formed to lead with courage and integrity.

Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College is under the canonical sponsorship and civil ownership of Mercy Partners. The ministry was entrusted to Mercy Partners by the Sisters of Mercy, North Sydney on the 7 November 2023.
The Mercy Partners ministerial PJP assumes the role of the canonical sponsor of Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College. The civil relationship is that Mercy Partners Limited is the sole Member of the organisation that operates the Ministry. The day-to-day operations of Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College remains under the governance of their board.
Mercy Partners commits to ensure that their ministries flourish as Catholic ministries that contribute to the emergence of a world where the healing, liberating and life-giving mercy of God is experienced.
