CONTINUING AN INSPIRING LEGACY

The Sisters
at Work

Since 1865, the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney have devoted their lives to carrying on the legacy of Catherine McAuley and Mother Ignatius (Elizabeth) McQuoin RSM.

Catherine was a social reformer, driven by the words of the Gospel and her unrelenting pursuit for social justice. Elizabeth established many ministries in health care, social welfare and education, including Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College in 1875.

Today, the Sisters continue to respond to global and local needs through the provision of contemporary Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy.
