Principal's Welcome

Welcome from Mrs Nicole Christensen, Principal
At Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College we believe in preparing young women for a life of success, significance and purpose and I feel very privileged to lead this wonderful school.
We believe that education should be a rich interweaving of knowledge, skills and spirituality with a focus on empowering and motivating our girls to use their gifts to better themselves and to benefit the world around them.
Over the last 150 years, we have followed in the spiritual footsteps of our founders, the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney and every day we celebrate our core values of Mercy, compassion, respect for others, justice, dignity, service and option for the poor. These values guide our teaching and learning culture and inform our community immersion programs and social justice initiatives. We want our students to be challenged in every sphere of life.
We believe in choices and offering our students the best possible opportunities in education. We were the first Catholic school in NSW to offer the International Baccalaureate Programme for Years 7 to 12. Our Years 11 and 12 students can choose to study either the IB Diploma or the NSW Higher School Certificate. The College continues to enjoy a strong record of academic success.
We are committed to ensuring that our students are supported, nurtured and valued as individuals. The development of your daughter’s individual potential is very important to us and we encourage self-belief, resilience, versatility and independence. Through a wide choice of academic subjects and a diverse Co-curricular program, your daughter will have abundant opportunities to shine.
Our world-class facilities are set amongst beautiful landscaped and historical grounds, in the heart of North Sydney. Our students have wonderful facilities for learning, including access to state-of-the-art technologies, an indoor Aquatics and Sports Centre and our new dedicated performing arts facility, the O'Regan Arts and Cultural Common.
Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College is a wonderful place for your daughter to learn and grow and I invite you to experience the warmth of our Mercy community for yourself.
